Walking with the People – 74 Communities
The Daughters of the Cross pastoral ministry is a vital expression of their Charism, which involves preaching Christ Crucified and spreading His love around the world. With a strong commitment to spiritual service, the Sisters actively participate in 74 communities, offering genuine pastoral care through parish engagement, spiritual direction, and faith-building projects.
Their work encompasses a variety of spiritual ministries in parishes and dioceses, including catechesis, sacramental preparation, liturgical support, and faith formation. They organize retreats, prayer circles, Bible study sessions, and initiatives for youth faith formation to foster deeper spiritual awareness and engagement within the Church.
The Sisters provide family visits, counseling, and individual spiritual direction, supporting those who feel burdened or seek clarity in life. Their compassionate presence offers healing, hope, and encouragement to individuals at every stage of their faith journey.
In missions and remote locations, the Sisters often act as the Church’s visible presence. They reach out to those who have not yet heard the Gospel and share its message through both words and actions. The Sister’s work to promote grassroots faith communities rooted in Scripture, fellowship, and service by establishing and nurturing Basic Christian Communities (BCCs).
Pastoral care is more than just a task for the Daughters of the Cross; it is a joyful vocation and a sacred opportunity to support individuals in their relationship with God. It also allows them to help build vibrant, faithful communities that reflect Christ’s lasting love.
